Maningrida has 2 stores, an office, health clinic, school, and fuel supply depot. You will have access to banking facilities (ATM), television, landline telephones, radio and postage is available as well.
What can I buy at the store?
Both stores in Maningrida can supply your basic needs. However supplies can be affected by seasonal factors such as heavy rains wiping out roads.

Where will I live, and will I be sharing accommodation?
Generally the Government will provide accommodation and this can vary from a large house to a demountable building, or in some cases shared accommodation. Usually basic household items such as furniture, appliances, crockery, cutlery and cooking items are provided.
What clothing is appropriate?
Conservative, well-covered, casual clothes.
What can I do on the weekend?
Depending on your relationships within the community, there is a lot of fishing, camping, outdoors and cultural activities to be enjoyed.

Can I bring in alcohol or buy alcohol?
Some remote communities have alcohol restrictions so that no alcohol is to be brought into the area. These are often referred to as 'dry' communities. However, you can purchase Alcohol with a permit in Maningrida and the barge delivers orders every fortnight.
